Brief: To completely refurbish a one bedroom flat and at the same time convert into a two bedroom flat. The existing kitchen was removed and the room where it was housed was converted into a bedroom. A new kitchen was then installed into the current living room area, converting the space into an open plan kitchen/diner.
All the electrics and plumbing were updated and a new boiler was installed. The current bathroom suite was removed and replaced with an up to date, contemporary suite.
The entire flat was made to feel more modern, bright and airy with the existing space maximised and used to its full potential. The major benefit to the client was to gain a guest bedroom without compromising on space.
Time scale: 4 Weeks
Our designs were successful in maximising the spacing available and creating a feeling of airy spaciousness. With our help, the client was able to gain more space without moving house. Perhaps most significant was the addition of a completely new bedroom without compromising on the space.
We removed the existing kitchen in order to create the second bedroom within the space. A replacement kitchen was installed in the current living room area to make a large kitchen/diner. The existing bathroom was also removed and replaced with a more contemporary up to date bathroom suite.
The entire project took just 4 weeks to complete and along the way our client was kept right up to date with developments; through regular project meetings and through a dedicated project manager who was on hand to answer any questions they might have.
