Client: Phil & Lucy
Brief: Demolish an old conservatory and build a rear kitchen extension with timber sash windows. Large Velux skylights were also installed, allowing light to flood into the new space. Alongside this numerous steel beams were fitted to allow the rear of the property to become open plan. Simply Extend also built and fitted a new kitchen, created a bespoke shelving and cupboard system to discreetly hide the new boiler and installed a beautiful oak hard wood floor.
Time scale: 10 Weeks
When Phil and Lucy contacted Simply to discuss a bespoke kitchen extension in Richmond, which would cater to their needs, they already had conservatory to the rear of the house.
But they wanted to more with the space available to them and they chose to come to the experts to get it. We drew up plans for an all new, open plan kitchen/dining area and once our client was happy that the project met all of their criteria we got to work.
The first step was to demolish the existing conservatory, before building the new rear extension. A number of steel beams were required in order for the space to be open plan. Large Velux skylights were installed to guarantee as much natural light into the new space as possible.
On the inside, we installed a brand new fitted kitchen with bespoke shelving and discreet storage options to hide the boiler and also provide storage space. We don’t just provide home extensions in Richmond, and the rest of London. We provide a full, bespoke interior design service. When we are finished with a project, the space is ready to enjoy.
The final touch in this case was a beautiful oak hard wood floor, which brought the entire project together.
There was a lot to do on this latest Richmond home improvement project but as with all home extensions, we tried to make the process as simple and straightforward for the client as possible. A dedicated project manager was on hand to answer any questions Phil and Lucy might have. They were also invited to weekly progress meetings which provided them with the peace of mind that their project was running smoothly.
In ten weeks, they had a new larger space to enjoy with friends and family.
